Headboard Inspiration

When we lived in the condo for a year, I had had every intention of making some sort of headboard. Sadly the only decoration that adorned the space above our bed was a ball point pen design that my daughter, unbeknownst to me, put there one morning.

In our new bedroom, the walls are navy and we still have that set of drawers that I refurnished last year, so I’ll have to keep that in mind when thinking of what to do for a new headboard.

I’m totally grooving on this idea featured on Curbly.com. I could see scouring my local home salvage store for great pieces to create this “headboard.”

Jennae over at Green Your Decor created this simple yet funky headboard from eco-friendly wall flats. Inhabit, the company that makes these wall flats has many to choose from, so I could create my own style.

I’ve seen these wall decals for a few years and looking at the pics again I find that I still like them. They are created by Blik and have a myriad of styles.

Do you have any inspirational headboard ideas you can share with me? I’d love to see more ideas before I make a decision.
